Curtis Pinnick

Curtis Ray Pinnick was initiated into the Gamma Xi Chapter of Phi Kappa Tau in the Fall of 1985. He served as his Pledge Class President and was a positive, visible presence during his time as a member of the Resident Council where he served as Membership Orientation Officer and Treasurer. He was also instrumental in helping Phi Kappa Tau win the Greek Week Championship through his efforts in football, softball and as a member of the Phi Tau Ton of Fun tug-o-war team.


Brother Pinnick continued his service to Phi Kappa Tau after he left East Central University. He served on the Graduate Council and the Board of Governors. He was a member of the Board of Governors that received the Outstanding Board of Governor’s Award from the National Fraternity. Brother Pinnick was the Gamma Xi Alumnus of the Year of 1995. Additionally, Brother Pinnick is a winner of the national Phi Award given in recognition for outstanding service to the recipient’s own Chapter. Brother Pinnick is an active member of the Alumni Club and serves as its Secretary.


Brother Pinnick has been married to Phi Kappa Tau Little Sister of the Star Danyell Coppak (Pinnick) for more than thirty-two years. They have one son, Dakota Pinnick. Brother Pinnick is a voracious reader, loves sports and history, collects firearms and until health issues sidelined him, was an avid golfer.
