Jeffrey Shane Melton graduated from Healdton High School in 1985. He continued his education at East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma where he joined the Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity.  His Pledge Brothers are Curtis Pinnick, Mark Saneman, Steve Patswald, Roger Arbabi, Wade Hampton, Mark Blakemore, Darren Wolf and Paul Parker.

Jeff moved to Norman, Oklahoma after college and along with others began a screen printing business out of a horse barn, using a self manufactured wagon wheel as part of the starting equipment.  About that same time he started training and cycling competitively, racing and competing in several states. The business grew and it was during this time he met Lisa Larkin. They were united in marriage on November 18, 1995 in Norman. Together they grew the screen printing business into Hard Edge Design.

Jeff was passionate about many endeavors.  He was a good friend to many and a very creative problem solver. He believed in investing in local businesses and encourage business growth.  He received many awards and accolades including being named one of the Journal  Record’s “Achievers Under 40”. 

Jeff died unexpectedly and entered Chapter Eternal on March 25, 2015. He was a good Brother and a loyal friend. He is missed deeply by those who loved him.
