Joe C. Rogers entered chapter eternal on January 26, 2017 at the age of 69, in his hometown of Idabel, Oklahoma.

Joe was initiated into the Gamma Xi chapter of Phi Kappa Tau in 1967, just a year after the founding of our chapter. Joe was a loyal and hardworking member of Gamma Xi and was a true Brother in every sense of the word. Always willing to help a Brother in need. 

Joe brought his younger brother Jerry Rogers into the chapter the following year. Joe worked his way through college selling men’s clothing six days a week at S & Q Clothiers in Ada and still managed to meet his obligations to school and with the Fraternity.

Joe met and married the love of his life, Betty Bowen Rogers, a Chi Omega, while attending East Central.  They raised two fine sons, Mike and Charley.
